No one new on Medium in 2022!

Ok so, I’m pretty new. I’m not going back to see when I started, but I just hit 100 followers. It would have taken me much longer, but as a noob, I read and followed a lot of people.

I like to encourage new writers and people new to any platform. I routinely search for new Medium contributors because I found it hard to find readers.

Lately I have trouble finding new Medium writers. When I search for “new to Medium” or “I’m new” all my results are from 2020–2021.

Am I searching wrong? Are there fewer new people here? What keywords should I use?

Help a sister out. (As an old white lady I sound fake if I use sista or some other slang but yeah, I have a va-jay-jay.)
