How Can Virtual Reality Change Our Ability to Deal with Real Life?

This is a big question and I have a feeling this could (and probably will) become a series of articles. It came to my mind, though, as I was thinking about time I spent working in a university setting as a staff member. The time period I’m talking about was after 9/11 but only a few years after. Things have changed even more since then, with more war, terrorist acts, active shooters, crime on the rise, a global pandemic, political division — and I could go on.
